When Ciyo Brown asked me if id like to sing back up along side Michelle Augustin for a one off show at Londons Jazz Cafe performing a tribute to John Holts 1000 volts of Holt,I was a happy bunny.
My mother played Johns music a lot through my childhood, She was and still is a fan.
His special tone of voice and beautiful vocal delivery, made him a true star it was a pleasure to be apart of the celebrations of this album.
The artists performing on the night were Brinsley Forde of Aswad, Christopher Ellis who is the late Alton Ellis's son and Carroll Thompson with one song performed by Jewels Vass.
The songs 'Help me make it through the night, Mr Bojangles and Stoned out of mind' were a few songs played that got the audience singing away.
